Tool Protection

How it works

At 5 durability or less, the first mining attempt pauses with a warning. Mine again with the same tool within 2 seconds to continue at your own risk. Each allowed mining attempt refreshes the 2-second window. It warns again after more than 2 seconds without mining. Extra area mining still respects the reserve.

Settings

Disable Tool Protection in Player Settings to use the remaining durability.

Limits

Does not repair tools or protect combat, armour, right-click use or other add-ons. Creative mode is unaffected.
