Pick up

Sneak + Use a Container Holder on a chest or barrel. For a double chest, only the targeted half and its 27 slots are carried; the other half stays.

Place

Use on a block face. A compatible single chest beside the destination can join into a double chest, keeping both inventories. With two possible neighbors, one is chosen.

Preview

Green means the destination is available; red means blocked. If placement fails, keep the carried container and try a clear space.
